About Karl Honegger
I grew up here on Colorado’s Front Range and have found Broomfield to be a wonderful place to raise my family. My wife and I are teaching our 4 kids to be compassionate, responsible and respectful citizens in our community. I have the leadership experience, the political knowledge and the fiscal background to ensure Broomfield is one of the best places to live.
I am an Eagle Scout and my Eagle project was for a local Habitat for Humanity Thrift Store where I continued to volunteer in high school. I am a recipient of the Congressional Award Silver Medal which recognizes setting and achieving goals in four areas: Voluntary Public Service, Personal Development, Physical Fitness, and Expedition/Exploration. I volunteered over 200 hours towards meeting my goals.
In high school I participated in the American Legion Boys State program where I learned in depth how local, county and state government operates. I have been attending city council meetings since December and was one of a few city council candidates to attend the annual city council study session.
I earned my Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Northern Colorado and I have a Masters of Professional Accountancy from the Beacom School of Business. Part of my graduate studies involved government and nonprofit accounting.
